VARIOUS INGREDIENTS USED IN OUR PRODUCTS EMPOWERING YOU TO MAKE AN INFORMED CHOICE:

Activated Charcoal- is gently exfoliating and removes impurities, dirt and excess oil from skin and unclog pores. Charcoal may help brighten skin improving appearance and texture, clear blemishes and acne.

Aloe- is a succulent best known for its soothing properties that keeps the skin moisturized and hydrated and has a cooling effect on the skin which helps sunburns and rashes. Studies indicate that the average aloe vera plant contains approximately 99% water. The remaining 1% includes solid plant material, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants—many of which have notable benefits of their own when applied topically. It fights anti-aging, reduces wrinkles and the side effects from radiation treatments for cancer. Aloe helps with acne and wound healing, has anti-inflammatory properties, and can be used as aftershave.

Argan Oil- a luxurious oil in skin care, extracted from the kernels of the argan tree. It is a lightweight without the greasiness. This oil is rich in antioxidants, contains vitamin E to help protect against environmental damage, anti-aging, skin softening, and moisturizing properties come from its fatty acids, can help with stretch marks by helping to heal the skin, it promotes a smoother and calmer complexion. 

Avocado Oil- has beta carotene, fatty acids, lecithin, Vitamin A, D and E, protein which can help with collagen synthesis, moisturize and protect skin from UV rays. It is antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory.

Organic Babassu Oil - used a substitute for people that have allergens to coconut, it is a tropical oil made from the seeds of babassu palm, a tree native to the rain forests packed with antioxidants and healthy fats.  As a moisturizing agent, babassu oil benefits work to hydrate the stratum corneum (top layer of the skin) and decrease the trans-epidermal water loss, thus increasing the smoothness and softness of the skin. As a result, the lipid barrier of the skin is improved, and the skin’s natural moisture retention mechanism is enhanced. It can boost the health of your skin and hair, moisturizing them without causing you to feel greasy or develop acne.

Beef Tallow- is a great moisturizer and can be used to soothe and moisturize dry skin. It's thick enough to handle the toughest rough patches, but light enough to absorb quickly into the skin. Plus, it's loaded with vitamins A, D, E and K, antioxidants and essential fatty acids. Vitamin E is known to promote rejuvenation of the skin by fighting free radicals that can cause wrinkles and has also been shown to prevent the breakdown of collagen.  Its fats are naturally found on our skins outer layer thus closest to our own skin oils composition.  Our beef tallow is sourced from grass fed, pasture raised cows.

Beet Root Powder- is a beneficial natural ingredient that contains vitamins and minerals that nourishes the skin, reduce inflammation, improve circulation, fight acne.  It is packed with antioxidants and vitamin C which protects cells from free radical damage, it can help prevent wrinkles and dry skin and contains lycopene and squalene with contributes to reducing skin aging. 

Bioterge- a type of anionic (negative charged ions) surfactant which helps remove dirt and grease 

BTMS 50- Behentrimonium Methosulfate 50 percent is a cationic conditioner and emulsifier, which means it helps two substances that wouldn’t ordinarily mix combine. This molecule seems like an industrial chemical, but it’s actually a vegetable-based product derived from rapeseed oil.  It allows for oil and water to mix in skincare products.

Calendula- Mostly known for its benefits to prevent dermatitis/skin inflammation in people with breast cancer during radiation therapy. It is antimicrobial and helps wounds heal faster. Calendula has high amounts of flavonoids, plant-based antioxidants that protect cells from being damaged by unstable molecules called free radicals. Organic Castor Oil- is rich in fatty acids making it a good natural moisturizer for skin and scalp, its ricinoleic properties allows anti-inflammatory properties which can help fight swelling and pain in inflammation.  It also has anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties that helps speed up wound healing. Castor oil is said to help with the lymphatic system flow along with many other non-beauty benefits.

Chamomile- may provide benefits for wound healing, inflammation, redness, eczema, hyperpigmentation, acne and protects the skin from free radical damage. It accelerates cell and tissue renewal reducing the appearance of fine lines and giving skin a youthful glow

Cetyl Alcohol-  etyl alcohol is a fatty alcohol that functions as an emollient, emulsifier, thickener, and surfactant in cosmetics and skincare products. Cetyl alcohol is an organic compound that is classified as a fatty alcohol. Fatty alcohols are a hybrid between alcohols and fatty acids or oils. There is often a misconception that because it has alcohol in its name that cetyl alcohol is drying to the skin. The reality is actually the opposite. Cetyl alcohol helps to protect the skin from allergens, bacteria and moisture loss and improves the texture of products.

Organic Cocoa Butter- Cocoa butter is a triglyceride — (a type of fat that’s naturally found in cocoa beans and other sources) which helps to create a protective skin barrier that hydrates by keeping in moisture and preventing the skin from drying. It is an antioxidant which may help protect skin cells from damage thus anti-aging. Can help with conditions such as rashes, eczema and psoriasis.

Coconut Oil- is known for its antimicrobial and antibacterial benefits.  It is a medium chain saturated fat made of lauric acid that inhibits the growth of bacteria however it does not eliminate it. Skin moisturizing for dry skin and protective from external factors such as allergens causing skin dermatitis, inflammation and defects in skin barrier function. Coconut oil can also help promote wound healing.

Cocomidopropyl Betaine- is a synthetic fatty acid made from coconuts, also a surfactant that makes thick lather and hydrates the skin

Germall- (used in a small amount) this is a preservative that inhibits the growth of bacteria in products such as creams, lotions, whipped soaps, shave creams that can get water in them, ensuring a longer use of product.

GLYCERIN- Vegetable glycerin is a clear, odorless liquid usually made from soy, palm, and coconut oils. It has a sweet taste. Glycerin can come from animal sources, but vegetable glycerin is plant-based, meaning it is suitable for vegans, it is a common ingredient in many products due to its sweet flavor and moisturizing properties.

Grapeseed Oil-

Organic Hemp Seed Oil- derives from the seeds flowers or leaves of the cannabis sativa plant. moisturizes and soothes skin, combats acne and has anti-aging properties, strengthens skin, reduces inflammation and is rich in omega 3's and nutrients great for glowing skin.

Honey- Studies suggest that honey might offer antidepressant, anticonvulsant and anti-anxiety benefits. In some studies, honey has been shown to help prevent memory disorders. Topical use of medical-grade honey has been shown to promote wound healing, particularly in burns. Benefits includes calming skin, lightening of scars, reducing pigmentations, acne, eczema and inflammation.

Organic Jojoba Oil-

Jojoba Seeds- is jojoba oil in a wax form that remove dead skin cells by gentle exfoliation it is completely biodegradable.

Lavender INFUSED OIL- Studies suggest that lavender can help support sleep, reduces pain and inflammation, helps with mood anxiety and depression, relieves menstrual pain, headaches, wound healing and more. Lavender is widely used in the aromatherapy to help calm and soothe, in skincare it helps to moisturize calm and soothe the skin.

Organic Rolled Oats/Organic OatMilk- Oatmeal can help nourish and protect the skin by gently exfoliating and sloughing off dirt and dead skin cells. It is a natural and gentle cleanser that hydrates due to the presence of saponins forming an occlusive layer on the skin that helps to retain water. Oatmeal also helps boost collagen production, improves your skin complexion, and reduces skin inflammation. Colloidal oatmeal has been used to soothe dry and irritated skin making it beneficial for skin conditions such as eczema.

Olive Oil-

Phenonip Oil- a soluble preservative used in scrubs and products that come into contact with water.  It is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent comprising a synergistic blend of esters of para-hydroxybenzoic acid in phenoxyethanol found in plants such as chasteberry and St John's wort. Phenoxyethanol is an oily, colorless, slightly viscous liquid with a faint floral scent. It’s a natural component of chicory and green tea care must be taken where it is sourced can contain parabens.

Organic Sweet Almond Oil- used in baby skin care products, contains Retinol via vitamin A that helps to even complexion and skin tone by stimulating the production of new cells, anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, can reduce puffiness and under eye circles, its emollient properties reduce acne soothes irritated skin, used for centuries to treat skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis, reverses sun damage and reduce scarring and stretch marks

Shea Butter- comes from the shea nut but is low in proteins that can trigger nut allergies.  It contains vitamins A, E and F antioxidant vitamins that promote circulation and healthy skin cell growth. The waxy part (cetyl esters) of the shea butter nut is used for moisturizing effects to help soften and hydrate skin whle locking in moisture to reduce dryness. Also contained in the shea butter nut are triterpenes that may reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles boosting collagen production and promoting new cell generation.  Shea Butter has anti-inflammatory properties that sooth skin problems helping the skin to heal and reduce the appearance of stretch marks and scarring.

Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate- is a gentle surfactant (Surfactants are substances that lift oil and grease, allowing for easier removal) derived from coconut oil that produces a rich lather and hydrates skin 

Sodium Hydroxide- also known as Lye, NaOH it is a white solid ionic compound consisting of sodium cations Na and hydroxide anions OH.  The interaction of this ingredient and the oils causes saponification and the byproduct- soap.  ALL soap uses sodium hydroxide/lye whether it is a cold processed, hot processed or glycerin bar of soap.  The base that used in the hot processed and glycerin making of soap used sodium hydroxide which then formed the base to create soap.  The important factor of this ingredient is that once the bar of soap is produced there is no trace of sodium hydroxide and only the saponified product. 

Sodium Lactate- Derived from the natural fermentation of sugars found in corn and beets, sodium lactate is the sodium salt of lactic acid. It aids with the hardening of soap and helps bars last longer.

Sorbitol- is a type of carbohydrate that is naturally found in some fruits, it adds texture/thickners to products.  Used in skincare as a hydrating and moisturizing agent.  Sorbitol also acts as a prebiotic ingredient, helping to feed the naturally occurring bacteria on the skin.

Turmeric- Studies have found that Curcumin the main active ingredient in turmeric has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant. Studies show that skincare products formulated with turmeric and curcumin can help improve the appearance of skin tone irregularities, like blotchiness, redness, and unevenness. Some evidence even suggests that using turmeric topically can help improve the appearance of dark spots and discolorations.
